Otter Experience

Meet and greet our friendly otters and feeding experience.

The Otter Experience is an exciting 30-minute adventure that offers a rare opportunity to interact with these playful and intelligent creatures. During this experience, you’ll participate in the husbandry training of the park’s resident otters. Under the guidance of an experienced keeper, you’ll help train the otters using positive reinforcement techniques, which are essential for their care and well-being.

As you engage with the otters, you’ll witness their remarkable agility and intelligence up close. The training session not only strengthens the bond between the otters and their keepers but also provides valuable mental and physical stimulation for these curious animals.

After the training, you’ll have the chance to feed the otters, watching as they eagerly interact with their environment. Throughout the experience, the knowledgeable staff will share fascinating insights into otter behaviour, their social dynamics, and the conservation efforts needed to protect them in the wild.

The Otter Experience is perfect for anyone interested in animal behavior and care, offering a unique glimpse into the lives of these charming and energetic animals.

Please note: This is a non-contact experience, due to the high risk of biting.

Any age: £75 + £50 per additional person (max. 4 people)

For children 15 years old and under a guardian must be present.

Animal Encounter Experience includes:

Booking your experience:

• You have the choice to book your experience date at the time of purchase, or you can order a 12-month gift e-voucher.
• If you wish to book a date at the time of purchase, please follow the instructions on this page.
• Alternatively, you can purchase a gift e-voucher with 12 months validity, which is emailed to the purchaser of the voucher within 5 working days of receipt of your order. If you wish for this e-voucher to be sent to a different email address, please specify this in the Notes section at checkout.
• The email containing your e-voucher will also include information on how to make a booking within the 12 months.
