The Mini Keeper Experience is a thrilling two-hour adventure that gives you a taste of what it’s like to be a zookeeper. This unique experience begins with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour, where you’ll explore areas of the park that are normally off-limits to the public. You’ll see firsthand how the animals are cared for and discover the daily routines that keep the park running smoothly.

After the tour, you’ll embark on a VIP walk around the grounds, accompanied by an experienced keeper who will share fascinating insights about the park’s diverse inhabitants. You’ll get up close to a variety of animals, learning about their behaviours, diets, and the important conservation efforts that help protect them in the wild.

One of the highlights of the experience is the opportunity to create an enrichment toy for a specific species, chosen on the day of your visit. Working alongside the keeper, you’ll design and put together a toy that encourages natural behaviours and stimulates the animals mentally and physically. Whether it’s for a playful primate, a curious carnivore, or another resident, you’ll get to see your creation in action as the animals interact with it.

The Mini Keeper Experience offers a fun, hands-on introduction to the world of animal care and conservation, making it a perfect adventure for aspiring zookeepers or anyone passionate about wildlife.

Guardian must be present on wildlife park during experience (free entry)

5 years – 9 years old: £75 + £50 per additional child (max. 5 people)

Keeper Experience includes:

• Your experience helps us to support Shepreth Wildlife Conservation Charity
• Entrance into the Wildlife Park (no separate admission ticket required)
• Entrance for an accompanying guardian.
• e-Certificate

Booking your experience:

• You can purchase a gift e-voucher with 12 months validity, which is emailed to the purchaser of the voucher within 5 working days of receipt of your order. If you wish for this e-voucher to be sent to a different email address, please specify this in the Notes section at checkout.
• The email containing your e-voucher will also include information on how to make a booking within the 12 months.
